RELATIONS BETWEEN CHINA AND AFRICA HAVE ENTERED A NEW GOLDEN AGE SENEGAL WILL HOST THE FOCAC IN 2021

FORUM ON CHINA-AFRICA COOPERATION CICAD DAKAR from 28 to 30th November 2021

The China-Africa Cooperation Forum is a discussion forum for greater economic cooperation between China and Africa. FOCAC is a platform promoting relations between multiple African partners and China. The conferences aim is to conduct consultations on an equal footing, deepen mutual knowledge, broaden common ground, strengthen friendship and promote cooperation. These summits, or Conferences, bring representatives of China and African countries that have diplomatic relations with China,together.
Since then, FOCAC has gradually been institutionalized to have now become an important platform for collective dialogue and an effective mechanism of pragmatic cooperation between China and friendly African countries and set a good example of South-South cooperation . Since 2015, China has also been deploying an ambitious digital strategy with regard to Africa within FOCAC's framework.





HEALTH MEASURES

The Government of the Republic of Senegal will make available to all official delegations of the Health Assistance Services and Emergency, installed at the Airport, in hotels, at the level of the Conference and in the city of Dakar.
Members of official delegations are required to provide a negative PCR test of less than 72 hours upon arrival in Dakar. It is recommended that they get vaccinated against COVID-19. A Covid-19 desk will be open at the airport, in the center of conference and the main hotels whose access will be controlled with high precision gantry temperature sensors or non-contact thermometers.
All delegates will be tested for Covid-19 upon arrival in Dakar, where before taking part in the meetings.
All members of the staff responsible for organizing the meeting will undergo a Covid-19 test, before the start of the meetings. A team epidemic response special will be created with a special number open and which will be communicated to all delegations.

VISA FORMALITIES

Members of official delegations holding passports diplomatic, official and service, as well as the holders of passports of the United Nations and other International Organizations, or nationals of countries where Senegal does not have a Representation Diplomatic or Consular, will obtain their visas free of charge at their arrival at Blaise Diagne International Airport in Dakar. Delegations must first send the official lists of their members, accompanied by copies of passports, to the Committee National FOCAC, by email at the following addresses:

Delegations from countries where Senegal has a Mission Diplomatic or Consular, must obtain their visas from the latter, before their arrival in Dakar. Delegates from countries where Senegal does not have Diplomatic or Consular representation, should contact with the National FOCAC Committee or the Permanent Representations of Senegal to the United Nations, the African Union and Senegalese Embassy in Beijing, sending all information required in order to authorize the issuance of the visa on arrival at the airport of Dakar.
